Credit dilemma: Equifax refuses to remove collection entry

My current credit dilemma revolves around a delinquent payment on my credit report supposedly originating from a major Quest Diagnostics, causing havoc on my score due to a $56 debt in collections. Oddly, upon contacting them, they couldn't find any record of my visit.

While Experian and TransUnion promptly accepted my dispute and removed the collection, Equifax seems to be putting up resistance. They sent me a detailed PDF, affirming the debt is indeed mine, despite my efforts to verify with Quest Diagnostics.

Escalating dispute with Equifax - legal action?

Hello forum members,

I find myself in a frustrating situation with Equifax, as it appears they aren't taking my disputes seriously regarding the compromise of my information in their data breach. Despite diligently following their procedures, including uploading IDs, FTC Affidavit, and a Statement of Inquiries being fraudulent, my disputes are consistently verified without addressing the issue.

Hey everyone, who's ever encountered with mistakenly deceased?

I'm casually checking my credit report, minding my own business, and there it is, plain as day - "Deceased" stamped next to my name. I'm alive, kicking, and definitely not a ghost, but according to my credit report, I've apparently kicked the bucket.

How did this happen? Has anyone else faced this madness? What did you do to resurrect your credit reputation?

Relentless Calls from Debt Collectors: When Does it Cross the Line?

A few months back, I fell behind on some bills. And now, I've got these debt collectors blowing up my phone.

At first, I thought, okay, they're just doing their job. I tried to work out a payment plan, but these calls started turning into a daily thing. Morning, noon, and night, they just kept calling.
